James Quinn

U.S. College Coach

James Quinn has been a respected U.S. Soccer College expert for over a decade. Before going to the U.S., James was offered a contract at Torquay United in League 2 of the English Football League. During his tenure at Torquay, James played against teams such as Swansea, Bournemouth, Exeter and Plymouth. He also played in the F.A. Youth Cup against Manchester United and Brighton.

Transitioning to the U.S., James enrolled at Andrew College, where his leadership qualities were promptly recognized with his appointment as Team Captain. Throughout 17 matches, with 16 starts, James’s performance merited distinction as a First Team All-Region 17 Honouree. Noteworthy achievements included his pivotal role in securing victories and propelling Andrew College to national recognition in the NJCAA and NSCAA rankings. Subsequently, his stellar season culminated in a call-up to represent the British Virgin Islands National Team in the Caribbean Cup against Martinique.

Wayland Baptist Legend

Following his tenure at Andrew College, James transferred to Wayland Baptist University under Head Coach Cristian Ospina, now the Dallas FC Academy Scout and Dean Johnson, now the Associate Head Coach at Loyola Marymount University in California.

U.S. College National Champion

In James’ three years at Wayland Baptist University, he was a pivotal member of the 2017 squad who made history for WBU by being the first to win the NAIA National Championship (video below). James won 6 titles in 3 years including 3 Conference Titles, 2 Conference Tournament Trophies and a National Championship. James was included in the 1st Team All-Sooner Athletic Conference & All-Region selections, NAIA All-American Honourable Mention and Assisted the National Championship-winning goal. James still holds the 2nd most assists in the program’s history at WBU.

Upon attaining his Business Administration Bachelor’s Degree, James transitioned seamlessly into college coaching, assuming responsibility for the men’s and women’s programs at Northeast Texas Junior

Amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, James’s expertise garnered attention, leading to his recruitment by a prominent U.S. College Soccer Agency based in the U.K.. During that time, James applied his insight to mentor almost 200 players from the United Kingdom into well-known U.S. Universities, further solidifying his impeccable reputation within the soccer community.

James holds a UEFA B license coaching badge, underscoring his commitment to professional development and excellence as a trusted soccer talent advisor.
